What are the library borrowing due dates over the festive break?

Answer

Due dates for Christmas & New Year 2024/25

Items will be due up to and including Friday 13 December before due dates are moved to fall after the Christmas and New Year period.

This means no items will be due back on Saturday 14 December, Sunday 5 January, or on any of the days in between.

One week (standard) loans

  • Items will start to be issued over Christmas and New Year from Saturday 7 December.
  • Anything borrowed between Saturday 7 December and Monday 30 December will be due back on Monday 6 January.
  • Due dates will return to normal from Tuesday 31 December, so an item borrowed on that day would be due back on Tuesday 7 January.

Two week (extended) loans

  • Items will start to be issued over Christmas and New Year from Saturday 30 December.
  • Anything borrowed between Saturday 30 November and Monday 23 December will be due back on Monday 6 January.

Laptops

Library laptops are included in the dates above.

Any laptop that would have a due date between Saturday 7 December and Sunday 5 January will be due back on Monday 6 January instead.

Exceptions

The dates below do not include Document Supply loans.

Further info

Due dates will return to normal from Tuesday 26 December, so an item borrowed on that day would be due back on Tuesday 9 January.
